Hong Kong Day 1

Brought my basic theory book and a story book to read on the plane but I didn't read a single page because I was so tired on the flight. Slept throughout the whole journey. The entertainment on United Airline is terrible. Their music channels repeat the songs and they showed cartoons on a common TV screen. And the food.. hmm.. see below.

My travel khakis for this trip - Shi and Deb.

When we reached, we went to a CHA CAN TING at Jordan to have our lunch. My first meal there was a black pepper chicken rice which was normal. Nothing fantastic but it came with my favorite white radish soup!

Then Deb brought us to eat a super nice egg tart. Hmmm.. I'm drooling while thinking of it now.

After that we went back to the hotel to check in. Look at our small little hotel room. Deb was right not to share a room with us.

There was a bath tub but the bath tub was too small for me to soak in it.

After settling down, we proceeded to The Peak and the Madame Tussade Museum.

We took the tram up the steep slope to the top of The Peak.

The view on the way up...

We took photos with almost all the famous people we know...

This photo was taken by the professional and made into a magnet and I took a picture of the magnet, thus it looks blur.

There were many many other photos but I decided not to overload this page. So after we ended our tour, we went to a cafe to have a toast and drink. This toast is really fantastic!!! The honey mixed with butter and the bread is awesome!!!

And we proceeded to the sky terrace. There was too much fog that we could not take any nice scenery while we were up there. The wind was super strong and the air was cold.

No scenery to take so we took with the posters around.

After that, we went to Royal Plaza shopping centre to shop and have our dinner at Ajisen. I had a Kirin beer and a bowl of spicy noodles. Yummy!

The rest of the dishes that we ordered... beef wrapped mushrooms.

Potato croque (don't know how to spell)

Soft shell crab

Then we made our way back to our hotel and ended up eating supper at Xu Liu Shan which is just opposite our hotel. This is a salty but nice carrot cake. I like!

Deb's birds' nest dessert

Oh, forgot to mention that we went to the supermarket at Royal Plaza to get some water and I got some beer from there. They were really CHEAP!!!

Last but not least, this is for GML. Heineken in metal bottle. How cool is that! I was so excited when I saw it.

Finally, end of day 1. I'm gonna stop blogging here. Wonder if I have the energy to continue day 2 to 5. Hahaha! Anyway, it was an enjoyable trip.
